What's to see through? Having an RSS feed isn't sneaky or underhanded; in fact, it's a great benefit for your human readers let alone the mechanical ones.
A google sitemap is the better way to go to make sure that Google has everything it needs to know about your site, though. Not sure what is available for generating one in Joomla.
