Still, just re the idea that a computer has a gender: I thought at first that computers might be male, since they have been designed mainly by blokes. Also, because they are not impulsive, emotional things (well, not usually).
But on second thoughts men can be just as emotional as women. Also, women really like computers, and find them easy to use.
For these reasons I'd say (at the risk of "copping out") that they are either hermaphrodites, or genderless (asexual).
