The business is hosting business weblogs.

The niche is Australia-business-blog hosting.

I asked a Will and Ed and they didn't think it would work because there are no obvious benefits for hosting with a service like this compared to a standard hosting or free blog service.

Plus the likely clients would be the uber-newbies to blogging and hence would require a lot of painful-esq support.

What do you guys think?

Without really thinking about it much, I'd have to agree with Ed and Will.

with my webost - I get wordpress for free as part of the package, so for me it is a case of why?

Maybe the opportunity is in creating a business blog portal....

Just throwing around ideas. After some thought I couldn't think of a good way to really distinguish business blog hosting that didn't create a lot of extra work.

An aussie blog portal is a good idea if you could automate the system. I believe the main one recently closed it's doors so there is an opportunity. Blogging is so small in Australia and no doubt Canada as well.

It would be very easy to automate the whole system and plug in Google Adsense to the template. I recently checked out blogsome.com which uses WordPress Multi-User Script...it has all the advanatges of WordPad but allows people to set-up their own blog and begin blogging instantly!!!

Hey Yaro,

What was the name of the main aussie blog portal you mentioned that was closed recently?
