What are your blogging sins

We all have them and we are all a little ashamed of them. It can stop us being succesful. There are things we know we shouldn't do in our blogging but we do them. Well not all of us, but I suspect I am not the only one.

I find a little confession is good for the soul.

Here are the things I am bad at when it comes to blogging.

Consistency.
I find it very hard to get out a post on a regular basis, I know that if people expect something new they will come to check things out. But I always find something else to do.

Focus
I don't know, but I bet I have the most blogs here. I have about three ideas a day of new blogs to publish. They get a few posts and then I leave them. My server is littered with over a hundered Worpress installs. This thing is, they are all great ideas, but I always get distracted by the next idea.

Quality
Rather than serving up well written posts, which I know I can do, I have taken the lazy route of merely commenting on other peoples original work. Producing little original of my own. I took the short cut and it was the wrong path to take.


So there you are, my blogging sins. It's a shame really because I have devoted a lot of the last year to blogging and have only just realised what the golden rule is.

Blogging is not a get rich quick scheme, it's a get rich slowly, but only if you follow the golden rule.

The golden rule is essential to blogging, if you have it you will be succesful and if you don't, you will fail. I now have it on at least one of my blogs and it's working really well.
