Default How to Change Title?

Hi, this is my first post here.

So glad to know about this site!

May I know how to change my blog title which appears in the windows bar?

I mean <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8">
<title>Gmail</title>.

I'm using Tigopedia Reloaded 2.0 at Tigopedia theme. May I know is it possible to put ads or other things just beside the banner's title?

I'm a new blogger. Please be patient with me.

Thanks ya!

It depends upon your theme, but it is probably just using your blog name.

If you want to change it through the theme, you probably need to edit the header.php file (you've already found the relevant line to change.)

You probably want to use one of the SEO title tag wordpress plugins (a quick search found me this one: SEO Title Tag: A WordPress Plugin for SEO (Search Engine Optimization) ) which will give you instructions for how to install it into your theme and how to use it.

Thanks Blaine.

It's quite strange with the title. I created a new page and let's call it "new".

When i click on it, the title will become like "new -- my first post title". What's the problem actually?

I'd have to see what was in your header.php file, I have no idea. (Although with a page, it is probably in the page template as opposed to the header.php file, which may or may not be used.)

I'm not familiar with the theme you are using.

I just use the SEO Title Tag and it works.

I got one problem though. I put the front page as static page. How can i put the static page without putting a new navigation?

Aha... I got it. Simply put it under one of the page.

But how can I create a sub page and yet i can see it? My theme can't view it....

I see what you are doing now.

That's dependent upon your theme. You need to put in some mechanism for displaying sub-pages into your navigation somewhere.

You can get information about how to work with the navigation in your themes here:
Good Navigation Links « WordPress Codex

Since I am guessing you are not a programmer, you will probably want to hire somebody to do the work for you since it's probably a better use of your time.
