After reading the "Caroline Middlebrook LMAO" article by "Vic" (I won't bother linking to the article) I had to ask: How do you deal with such a vicious personal attack as this?

It depends if there is content or if you think someone just wants to use you to get rid of their stuff on.

If there is content. You can try explaining what you meant another way. You can explain your intention and motivation. You can explain your values.

You can not respond and just let the attack sit there for all to see. Others will probably be unimpressed.

If you do respond remember that you are writing for the other readers not just the person who attacked you.
