Naming a network or media company

Anyone want to help me name a blog network or a media company. I'm just looking to get some name thrown around. Any ideas, and preferably something with a .com still remaining. There's gotta be a good one out there.

We need more details about the network - is there a theme? A specific target market?

Well right now in the media company I have A blog network with blogs ranging from soccer and golf to celebrity gossip to finance. I also am going to start a forum or two that I thought would be part of the media company.

I would also like to start kind of a "social network" thing, I use quotes because it's not totally myspacey, something different but that's the category I would loosely put it in.

Basically I'm really random and try to do everything because I can't focus on one thing to do. There's too much to do and I want to do it all. (ADD much)

A blog network name would be great to start out with, erik's blog network just ain't cutting it, unless of course that's a winner.

Might spark some ideas in your imagination.

Thanks for that lead, those really get the thoughts going. I'll keep playing around with it and hopefully come up with something. It's been too long to be without a name. The best one that's been tossed around so far is Blog Horn, but that's already taken. Haven't gotten one to top that.

Erik - one caution when looking for a good domain name in a public forum - someone else may like the same name that you do and register it before you get a chance to. (Or maybe they don't really like it but they register it just for spite.) I've seen it happen before on other forums . . . somebody asks for suggestions and several options are posted. They look at the suggestions, make comments about them, then announce the one they like best and thank the poster. Lo and behold, when they go to register it, they find it had already just been registered.

So, either act fast if someone posts a name that you like or ask that suggestions be PM'd to you.

Bloody squatters. I bet they only register it because they know he's going to try and buy it - so they can tack on another 20% and make a quick buck. That's very low IMO.. like stealing someone's wallet then selling it back to them.

That's why I only asked here in Yaro's forums. Thought it was lower traffic (no offense) and the people are pretty "family like." Just wanted some ideas to get the ideas flowing.

But great news!!!! I figured out a name, all I had to do was go for a little run and it just popped in my head! I'm pretty psyched about the name and will be developing a site shortly and I'm working on a contest to promote the blog network and get things really rolling.
