Default What is "good content" ?

I keep hearing that Good Content is essential for a successful blog. Can anyone tell me what constitutes good content? Are there say 5 or 10 key points that I would need to have in mind in order to produce good content?

Thank you for your suggestions!

Anne

Good content will be covered in the course, but basically it boils down to anything that adds value to your readers.

If you haven't read the blog profits blueprint yet, then I highly recommend it. You can start with this article here, which contains links to the blueprint: http://www.entrepreneurs-journey.com...illar-article/

I think that it's all about relevance. If your blog is created to deal with one particular subject, then stick to that subject and post often and well about it.

If you keep at it Google will get a real handle on what it's about and you'll crawl up the rankings for searches related to that subject. That's where you get your interested, targeted traffic.

Sure, for content to be good it must be clearly written and timely. But I do think the main thing is relevance.

Default good content

i think good content is something that gives your readers a sur plus , not only are you giving hard facts, but also the latest news about it, and maybe your own opinion about the subject. I think it makes the reader getting more personal
reading experience instead of hard facts, she/he alrdy knows about the subject.

My interests go to IT, technology and gadgets, that's what my blog is mostly about. You'll find some other categories as well on my blog, such as nature and weird stuff.

Exactly, good content is that which provides enough value to your readers.

The good content is well researched and informative and must be unique.

Default Hard to define the good content

In my opinion good content is hard to define.
But you have to think what kind of people will visit your blog and to anticipate their needs. Their feedback is very important.
To provide content that meet visitors interests is the key of good content. I mean, good content is not good by itself, it is good only if helps visitors. What is not interesting for a group of visitors could be intersting (good content) for another group. You don't need to provide it in a unique or special way. If your visitors like it, it is a good content. Just like that.

Default It's like art

I don't know anything about it, but I'll recognize it when I see it.

Default Good Content is...

Good content is what will create a desire in new readers to become regular readers. You WANT that.

Good content is what makes them subscribe, either to your RSS feed or your Email list, whichever you are offering. You also want that.

Good content is what they went in search of, in the first place. If they find what they are looking for on a consistent basis from you, they will label you an expert. You DEFINITELY want that!

Good content is informative and educational.

Good content doesn't necessarily have to be grammatically perfect, as most people will forgive a few errors. But if it is rife with mistakes, it will turn them off. You DON'T want that.

They say "Content is King" If that is so, then GOOD content is "Ruler of The Universe"

Best,
~cj

Hey... I think I just made an outline for my next article!!! Thanks!

I do agree with Masterval.

Well, in short good content is anything that your readers are expecting from your side and you’re providing them, so that they’ve a reason to visit your website/blog.
