Default Ads in Wordpress

Hi again all,

I've been looking through the WordPress themes (there are some pretty cool ones!) but I am unclear if I need to choose a theme that already has ads in place since I plan on adding ads in the future. Some of the themes that I really like don't already have them. If I go with those themes can I add spaces for sponsors/ads later?

Thanks for any help!
Denise

Denise,

Any theme can have ads put into them, but you may have to customize them first. Wordpress theme developers can be had for reasonable prices if you don't know how to edit the theme yourself.

Default Resources

Hi Blaine,

Thanks for getting backto me about putting ads in WordPress themes. I don't know how to do that myself at this point since I am just getting started, but I may be able to learn. Do you know of resources to help learn this or should I avoid it since I am not 100% sure how to do it?!

Thanks.
Denise

Default Another WP plugin for ad management

I use a cool plugin called WPAds from Nick Brady

WPAds, show ads in your posts « theSandbox

It allows you to set up zones, you can then add adverts to the zone and give each advert a weight to bias the amount of times it turns up.

You also get code to add to the html or code to insert into your posts.

Hope that helps.

That’s not a problem Denise. WP is very popular due to its customization factors.

You can easily customize themes as per your requirement.
