Default The best way to build and use a blog

Let's say I have a site prosman.com and my goal is to make money with it. I think a blog could help me to achieve this goal.

My question is: Which is the best way to bloging?
1. to attach a section as prosman.com/blog/ or
2. to have another site prosman-blog.com and to drive people to prosman.com

I'd keep it on your main domain, either as a subdomain or as a subdirectory. That's what I do.

Default Blaine is right

Hi

I agree with Blaine, keep the blog in your main domain, I try and pick a keyword that's relevant to the marketplace and use that as the directory name.

(I looked www.prosman.com and saw that you deal with thatched roof materials)

In this case, I would do some keyword research and find out what is a good keyword phrase to use for thatching, but for explanations sake let's say it's:

"reed thatch"

I'd then install the blog into a folder like this:

www.prosman.com/reed-thatch

Hope that helps

Keep it on the main domain name. You can get people real confused if you have 2 sites they have to go to. An option you can use is the subdomain one, like blog.prosman.com or other.
