Newsletter plugins

I'm planning to add a Newsletter subscription facility and am seeking suggestions of plugins - those that can be configured by the technically challenged

Can I use Themes with newsletters.
From what I can see, it appears that these plugins utilise Themes - and some use the Kubrik theme. I would like to be able to apply my blog theme to a newsletter.

Hi David,

By plugin I'm guessing you mean WordPress plugin? If so then I have just done an interview with a plugin developer called Antonie Potgieter of Tribulant Software, he has a brilliant newsletter plugin for WordPress. It's not free, but it is good, and yes I have used it myself on some of my sites.

I've had a look at the Tribulant Wordpress Mailing List Plugin and it seems good.

How did you find the configuration process ?

Hi

It's all pretty well straight forward, I generally create my HTML emails in DreamWeaver then copy and paste the code (with all fully qualified URLs) into the template and send it to the list.

I had a few problems at first, but I looked up Antonie on skype and he fixed my challenges for me. (I've just interviewed him BTW).

I might not be allowed to say this actually but I 'think' there are some killer features come out soon.

Why would you want to do that?

Here's my best advice :

add an AWEBER opt-in list (feedburner/RSS subscriptions is NOT enough anymore!) so that you have a real broadcast-enabled follow-up system in place to talk with your readers, send alerts, etc.

Up to 98% of blogging mentoring students are using AWEBER because it's the best. There's no other alternative like it
