I am using the "SeaShore theme for my blog, "tehfundamentalist.info." I began using a seperate page to list each article and then changed it all around to put each article as a post instead.
Problem... all posts appear on the Home page and I can not find a plugin to collapse archives that works, (though it's probably my own idiocy causing this part of the problem). Goal... On the home page, only show the current month's posts with all others archived in a tree in the sidebar. I have another, "Articles", page where all of my stuff is listed by date, but the home page looks really unprofessional with 3 months, (and growing), worth of posts all on the home page! Help me! Please! |

You are only showing your 10 most recent articles on your home page. If you don't want to display the entire article and just show a snippet, then you can either change your theme to only display excerpts or (and this is what I do) you can use the <!--more--> tag to split what is displayed on your front page which will give a link telling your readers to click through to read the rest of the article. You can get more information on doing that from the wordpress codex: Customizing the Read More « WordPress Codex
Another option you might want to consider is to not show 10 articles on the front page. If that's the case, then go into your wordpress admin, click on settings, click on reading, and then look for the setting that reads as Blog pages show at most and put a number less than 10 in the box. Save your selection, and fewer articles will appear on the home page.
