I'm about to start a blog and I have been thinking of setting up either something related to web development or to endurance sports. Both are my passions, but I'm afraid that I still haven't got enough expertise to write about them. And since I believe that your blog should be something that adds value to the readers, my start has become more and more complicated.
Then I realized that for example in my web development blog, I might just start from zero and learn a technology as I write and experiment with it. I would gain more expertise as time goes on and maybe I could write some pillar articles that are needed in order to drive some traffic and readers to your blog. How does that sound? |

It's a very viable method for starting a blog on a subject that you aren't an expert in. Lots of people have done it, and it works really well as long as you provide a unique perspective to it.

Thank you for your reply. This really faded away my "mental block"
![]() When you start thinking of it, everyone has to start somewhere and if you are persistent enough and keep doing your thing, it eventually pays off. I have actually visited your blog couple of times and I like it. We seem to have a same passion - running. BTW, I'm running a marathon (my 7th one) in Toronto next weekend ... looking forward to that ![]() |
