Hey Yaro,
I noticed you're now publishing partial feeds but you still have text-link ads. I have used Feedvertising in the past but thought it only worked with full feeds. Would you mind telling how to do this and/or which feed advertising method this is done through? Thanks so much for all your help! |

Hmm, I didn't make any changes to my feed settings - it's still set on full feeds.
I think the upgrade to Wordpress 2.1 has a change in how the RSS output interprets the <more> function. It seems it now replicates how it works on the website, so you have to click the more button if you use it in the article. That's sort of annoying since it happened without my knowledge. I'll see if there is an option to change it.

I just found this in the wordpress control panel options -
Note: If you use the <--more--> feature, it will cut off posts in RSS feeds. That's new! I don't know if I can do anything about it either since I want to use the more feature.

How interesting! I used to do partial feeds but when text-link-ads came along I wanted to put them to use so I went full. However, I haven't upgraded to WP 2.1 so I didn't notice that. Guess we both learned something tonight, thanks for the reply!
(And for the record, I will still click through from Bloglines to read your posts whereever the <more> tag cuts it off) |
