Free Blogspot in magazine style :simplex worldnews

I find out in most of forum ,we consider Wordpress is the best blog platform .But how about others ,such as blogger ? It's not a stand-alone platform ,but it's very flexible and easy to customize . And I think I can do anything wordpress can do with Blogspot ,from blogging ,cms to shopping cart ... And blogger are free .
So why don't we talk about blogspot ?
