Default do you recommend...?
Do you think the blog of mine should be closely related to my websight?
I have a christian website...and my blog will be on recycling...does that fit.?

While having synergy between site and blog is very powerful, the blog should be one of your passions or great interests. Is recycling a great interest of yours? I'd say that's more important than anything else at this stage.
