Newbie Blogger Needs Help!

Hi,
I am new to this blogging and need a few questions answered. Also need help with content.

My topic is on Internet traffic generation. I am also planning to open a membership site and forum similar to the Warrior Forum. In keeping with the material I read, I need to build at least 10 pillar articles, but am having trouble working out where to get the material for original content.

In thr membership area I would like to be able to offer free reports, etc. on a monthly basis. Any help there would be greatly appreciated.

Also need someone to explain the pages vs. posts in my script. I realize that may sound silly, but I don't understand which gets posted to the blog sites and which does not. I am running the WP script. I know there is some sort of heirarchy involved, but don't seem to understand it. I also need some help in setting up a few of the plugins. The support forums don't seem to be much help. :-(

I would appreciate any constructive replies.
