In the last blog traffic tips it said:
Quote:
It said Yaro tried two ways to make money and they didn't work, then months later Yaro made $900 in a day. I don't see how that explains the essence of knowing what audience you want to attract. Did Yaro change his writing style and content to attract visitors who were looking to buy products or was it something else? |

How I made $900 was from affiliate sales - in this case some Perry Marshall product and tickets to his conference which had a $750 commission.
I guess the point I was making was that I needed to test over long term what affiliate promotions worked and not assume just because it didn't work in the first few days that it was necessarily a sign that I had wasted my time. I also realized that if I ever wanted to make serious money from affiliate product sales that I would have to make affiliate promotions a regular occurrence at my blog, however I didn't want to turn off my audience either, so I had to be very careful with how I promoted things as an affiliate (usually by doing reviews since they provide good content). I hope that answers your question!
