Simple Board Script????

I am looking for a simple bulletin board script that has a basic user registration module.
In essence I am trying to find something with a minimalist feel like www.thecornwalltrader.com.

Anyone know of something like this? If not...does anyone know PHP...perhaps we could work together.

Should be plenty of options there for free.
