If you have a passion for something and could write about it, then maybe start a blog. If you have a lot of money you might want to start your own online store in something you know.

Hi! Although I probably have no room to talk, because I am kind of in the same boat as you are, (I still have yet to start my blog.. ) I wanted to say that the best way to find out what you are passionate about is to think about what always spontaneously brings tears to your eyes. If you can find that out, and do whatever that is, then you will be successful.

Default kind of in the same boat

Hi,
I'm just new to this internet marketing thing, also. I get discouraged, but just push myself to get something done. I'm not sure, either, what I'm passionate about, but if one guy can make a living selling just sunglasses and another selling just black socks, anyone should be able to make it, if they can just figure out how to reach people. I think that's the key, just to reach people....therefore the marketing thing.
Nice meeting everyone and hope we can all help each other.

Look for something that does not require that you pay any up front fees or pay for starter kits, registration fees, monthly auto ship programs, or requires you to sponsor people every month to qualify for bonuses on those you sponsor.

ALso stay away from companies that require you to pay for [u]their[u] training materials.

You want a business that is free to join and can be done with no out of pocket costs on a monthly basis until such time as you are generating income and can afford to pay for things lke ads and other promo materials.

Look for a buisness that you will have a sponsor in who won't lie to you or tell you stupid things like, "Fake it till you make it". YOu want a business that is totally upfront and honest. No games, no crazy qaulifying to earn commissions on those you sponsor and no limits to what you can make.

Also look at the company contract before you sign up. If it says the company reserves the right to change the compensation plan at anytime of their choosing, then you can believe that they will, usually about the time you are starting to make really good money. THose companies do not allow you to build residual income because they can take it away from you whenever they want. Residual income means you build it once and can walk away from it and still get paid without having to sponsor a certain number of people a month or sell a certain amount of product a month.

Good luck.
