Did you already buy a domain name? If so, I suggest starting with wordpress, a lot of bloggers use that. (I actually use ExpressionEngine) but for you just starting out I think wordpress should be pretty easy to pick up and you have use your domain name.

I got your point that you want to create your profile on the net. You can create your profile for only $1. Just take a sub domain from tiptopwebsite.com and create a complete website, as you want. Hope this will help you.

I'm not sure about titipwebsite.com, but you can choose a subdomain of squidoo.com for free and create your own profile.

I would recommend just buying your own domain. $10 for a domain, $10/mo for hosting, and you can start playing around.

For less than $130 you can give yourself a full year to experiment.
