New to the forums

If you come across this, I hope you do not mind me starting with a suggestion. Can you create a forum "Introduce Yourself"... Unless "intruduce your blog" is the right place to introduce myself as well.

Anyway my name is Vlad. I live in USA and I have been follwing your blog for quiet some time now. Today as I was reading your article about tips on how to increas alexa ratings. In the past I have used the widget but did not see a dramatic increase in my ratings. But I have installed it again today. I've had the widget on one of my websites which I was marketing via PPC with about 300 unique visitors a day and to be honest did not see big change. But I have not used the widget for last six months. Let see what will it do this time around.

Hi Vlad,

Most people who come here either run a blog or many, or run an internet business or are working on starting one. Hence I have an introduction forum for bloggers and for business owners.

However you are most welcome to introduce yourself in this forum So welcome!

Yes I'm not sure about the whole Alexa widget thing, it will be interesting to see what other results people get.

Glad to be here.
Actually since I have posted here, there was already change to some of my sites' Alexa rating. It may be purely coincidental but it may be that the "widget" is helping. I think you have made a great point by dvising your readers to see Alexa rating more as a trend than as something cut in stone. I can also attest that Alexa rating is great bargening chip when it comes to some of the ad networks. In my case it is AdBrite.

By the way, it was your article about EzineArticles that made me give them another try. English is not my native language and becoming a Platinum member was almost beyond me. But I did it, I am Platinum member with about 35 articles in and am seeing good results.
