I'm a newbie who has just joined this program. I have spent a whole day struggling with domain name, host finding and stuff. (since I'm a Chinese with not so well English skills).
I ordered hosting service from Dreamhost with automatic installation of Wordpress, which at first turned out fine. However, after I received an E-mail affirming that the Wordpress installation was successful and clicked to create an admin user, it poped out a page saying the page was not available. Now I really don't know what to do. Without the admin user, everything has to stop. Does anyone know what went wrong? I will appreaciate it so much if you care to give me some help here. Thanks a lot !! |

I'm not any type of tech support but I think I would try a couple things to troubleshoot this.
1. I would try the page again. Maybe even copy and paste versus clicking it from the email. 2. I would go into my files (via FTP or the web FTP) and check to make sure that Wordpress was installed. 3. I would contact Dreamhost support. I know when I hosted with them they were usually pretty quick about replying to support tickets. I think you can also go back through and delete the Wordpress and then click the one-click install again. |

Thanks for the answering, Rebecca!
As you suggested, I installed the whole wordpress again and still got that problem. Then I e-mailed their techgroup and it turned out that my hadn't direct my server name to Dreamhost. After I directed it, the problem is now solved. Thanks again! |
