Hi everyone,
As a self employed person doing web design and owning a number of sites myself (and not making much money), I'm trying to "get better" at all things web-prenurial. I was reading the "how many websites do you run" thread and thinking "how do these people do it?!" So, how DO you do it!? Do you dedicate a day to each site, or post on each site every day, or just randomly?! Just interested ![]() Cheers Dan |

Hey Mate!
I think I know you ![]() How do I do it? I don't really, its really hard to be super motivated to run multiple sites, it all depends on your interest level. See when I first started my Vista Technician site, I was sort of keen ont he idea of Vista, but I was more keen on making money from it, hence why I started it, but since I've lost all interest in Windows Vista, It hardly ever gets updated, if you want to start a blog to make money, make sure its something your interested in, hence when I started my car blog it gets updated on average by around 20 posts per week, thats a lot! but i like writing about cars and it has paid of big time! I also work full time, and i think its essential that your job gives you some sort of levy to blog, otherwise I wouldn't be working full time! |

yeah ya know me
![]() You've probably answered the question to be honest - my ultimate goal is to make money, so everything is geared to that, not "enjoying" what I do. Maybe that's wrong?! It's one of the reasons I was asking regarding the Vista blog - I'm a total geek and love all things computery ![]() |

The 4-Hour Workweek and Timothy Ferriss
I used to be a big GTD fan - and I still think there are many good things to learn from that system - but Tim Ferriss has radically altered my thinking. His approach isn't so much to manage your time but to *eliminate* the things sucking up all your time so you can focus on the things that make you money. Focus on the 20% while pushing the 80% to the side. Check out the site, awesome stuff. Damn, I should have prepared an Amazon affiliate link before I posted this. DOH! |

I think the key is running user generated content sites where users are creating the content for you. Unless you are Darren Rowse who seems to be able to run multiple blogs, for the average person UGC sites are the way to go.
Forums, classified sites do pretty well for me.

I've wondered how these people do several blogs too. I'm as motivated as the next guy, but I have a tough time just running one blog. I like to put a lot of time and energy into producing quality content and I'm considered a good writer, but I'm perplexed.
Spill the beans multi-bloggers, how do you do it?

Yeah... that would be the ultimate goal and I the key to that is finding that perfect niche where the industry is topical and users are passionate.
