Default Registerfly Troubles

A site I frequent recently posted about a domain reseller called Registerfly having some troubles and costing people thousands and even their whole businesses.

If you register with Registerfly get out immediately. If you were thinking about using there services avoid at all costs.

Registerfly - The Real Deal
CEASE ALL TRANSACTIONS WITH REGISTERFLY!

The site is worth a look through if you have the time.

Default yeh get out

word to that - get the hell out!! The site Daria references has a lot of info on RegisterFly's present situation as well as some useful walkthroughs on how-to-get-the-hell-out .

I've had a very stressful week as one of my major domain names was not only registered through RF but due to expire today. I tried to renew it last week but apparently that's as good as flushing money down the toilet. I initiated a transfer to GoDaddy a couple of days ago and fortunately it went through earlier today without any hitches. I asked the support staff at GoDaddy whether the domain expiring would be a problem and they replied saying that as long as the transfer was initiated before the expiry date then everything should be sweet.

I've known RegisterFly were dodgy for a while now and have tried to transfer away a couple of times previously. I always gave up when they blocked a transfer. I didn't understand about "Locking" a domain, whereby all transfers will automatically be rejected. Needless to say, I've been given a quick & dirty education on this issue as well as a reminder not to let things slide when I sense a suspect situation (pardon me for the alliteration).
