I've tested Free Web Hosting with PHP, MySQL and cPanel, No Ads - it works but it is even slower than dreamhost so I'm moving all my sites off of it. It isn't really worth the bother - it has been reliable enough, I just can't stand all the waiting.

Just as Blaine has said free hosting is usually more hassle than its worth. I use godaddy at the moment but I'll be moving to hostgator pretty soon. I am using the economy linux host package which allows wordpress and it is autoinstalled for you. All plugins are available to use without limits. This plan costs me about $5 a month. Hostgator has a plan for about $8 that allows unlimited domains so its perfect for your online marketing efforts. You can host your blog as well as several squeeze pages for any of your products or affiliate products and only ever have to manage a single hosting account.

If you can afford about $8 a month then in my opinion your better off with either of these two companies because you have the reliability and the bandwidth available. Remember if your page takes more than 10 seconds to load people are not going to hang around.

Or you can use godaddy.com. I am using them and there are no problems whatsoever. 4.50 a month (if you can afford it). Peace!

You could always go for a wordpress.com blog. Not many plugins, but you can easily pick up the feel for wordpress.

If you wanted to play more with plugins, try Blaine's option.

If you have the money and want to take this step seriously, I'd consider starting at the wordpress.org recommended hosting sites.

Whichever you choose is up to you, holler if you need help or have questions. We'd be more than happy to help.
