Hi forum.

A buddy of mine here in Thailand is thingking about setting up an eBay account in an attempt to sell all kinds of Thailand related products from semi precious uncut stones to arts and crafts, trinkets and fabrics, or anything else there’s a market for basically.

I’ve just done a quick search on Google for him and like most things popular the information is overwhelming.

There are also those trying to ‘sell’ secrets of sucessell eBay stratagies amoung the free bits of information fragmented and floating around.

It’s not something I’ve really taken a great interest in personally but if there are any eBay netrepreneurs out there that would like to give a few guidelines, I’m sure he’d be very appreciative.

Hopefully, I’ll be able to drag him into the forum withing the next few days. Dam lurker that he is! Lol!

Hi Aitch,

I have to admit my eBay skills are rather limited but it's definitely one of the best ways to make money online if you are just getting started.

I have an e-book from Richard Grady, a UK based Internet marketer that knows his stuff. I subscribed to a member site of his once and got a e-book on eBay powerseller interviews.

It's one of those books you can pass around (it's got links back to his site) so you can download it and pass it to your friend if you think it might help him.

Here is it - eBay PowerSeller Interviews [PDF]

It's probably a bit dated but there's definitely some worthwhile reading in it for a person interested in seriously getting into eBay.

Hey thanks Yaro.

I've had dinner with him tonight and he was umming & arrhing about this and that. Hmm! Remember that? the time wasted in procrastination!

I'll pass the link onto him, I'm sure it'll be a good read. In fact, I’ll have a read myself too.

Thanks buddy.

I haven't gotten into EBay yet but my mother has a doll business going on it. She's found that having a lot of high quality pictures does wonders. I set up a coppermine photo gallery for her and showed her how to link to a specific album with pictures for an auction, and her sales were much higher than her mentors were within a few months.

Thanks for that Blaine. Quantity and quality jumps out here.

It's that ole 'You never get a second chance to make a first impression' scenario.

When I check the stats of Mr. Roomfinder, ads with pictures get many, many more viewings than those without, and ads with high quality, well composed pictures get many more viewing again (repeat visits and recommendations I guess)

A simple but so overlooked rule when attempting to sell anything on line.

It's the little things that matter.
