I'm always interested to learn how much money people are making from Google AdSense in relation to how much traffic they have.

If you don't mind sharing let us know what your numbers are like.

I can tell you that I currently have 3 small niche sites running adsense as well as a bit on SmallBusinessBranding that do about 2000 impressions per week and make about $12 per week. So yeah, not a lot but it's optimizing space that I wouldn't otherwise use and brings in $50 a month, that's $600 a year.

I just need to multiply that by 100 and I'd be really happy

I started a niche blog a week before January 2006.
So, for a 3 month period I have had an average of 2000 uniques per month @ an average of US$35 Adsense dollars per month.

For crying out loud, I’m losing out here!

Actually I shouldn't complain as I’ve made no effort to optimise my one and only website (so far) for AdSense, and it was originally going to be a site plastered with fixed cost banners.

As that didn't materialise, I filled the redundant spaces with AdSense and without doing a thing I average about $40 per month with around 80,000 page loads and 9,000 plus unique visitors a month.

I could take a heap of time out and optimise the site for Google AdSense but as I’m working on a faster leaner AdSense empire now, that seems like a waste of time.

Oh, and just for the record, I do get the odd hotel booking that throws a bit of commission my way but nothing serious.

I do about $800 a month on approximately double your level of impressions Yaro.

To get best results you need to build your sites with adsense in mind, not simply drop them in "here & there".

This is one of the most important cornerstones of building your adsense empire;

1. Build the site to "channel" your visitors into a click.
2. Integrate the adsense into your site so that it looks like part of the design, not an afterthought
3. Use the hot-spot - place adsense above the "fold" of your page.

Quite right Burty, if making money from AdSense is the goal. I use adsense to fill slots that I can't fill with other things.

Generally affiliate income for me is a lot better than AdSense so I use it very sparingly.

Me.. for 1500 Page Views / month. I earn around $50 - $100/month...

I believe to earn a lot in adsense.. You have to format your adsense the way it blends the color to your website...That way, you get clicks plus your chosen keywords...some keywords $5 - $10 per click...some a whopping $35-$75 per click..but some $0.10 per click...

My main site gets about 2000-3000 uniques per week, and makes about $40 per week in adsense.

I guess I did not pick the best-paying topic - it does not pay much per click (I do have a pretty good CTR though).

I do get some other affiliate income from the site too.

yeah exactly, both...most of my sites are designed with adsense in mind, targetting profitable sectors. I use ppc for 99% of my traffic so 1/3 of the $ a day goes to advertising. Still, nice and profitable. I'm working on getting some sites seo'd into high ranking natural listings, since the only thing between me and big dollars is traffic When you use ppc and adsense its hard to find profitable sites because of advertising costs.
