AIS - Stalemate!

Hi guys.

It’s been a while since I reported anything about my AIS venture and there have been a few reasons for this.

It felt like I was getting on the AIS bandwagon at a time when a lot of changes seemed to be going on. There was plenty of talk about sites being banned and delisted by the major Search Engines like never before.

I got the feeling there was a little more negativity in the air than the years preceding 2006. Chins are still up, but there is definitely a lot of new thinking and innovation going on in order to protect this line of business.

AIS a game where you have to stay one step ahead, as the SE’s are always just one step behind!

All web based business ventures need to be constantly changing with the times in order to compete and stay on top, but the automated world of portal building was wearing me down just by reading about it!

To be honest, I found it all a bit overwhelming but decided to move forwards nonetheless. I’d purchased domains, hosting, compiled keywords and keyword lists and had (still do) over 110 sites ready to go!

I became a member of an excellent support project called Keyword Avalanche (KA) who have a membership capped at 500. Their forum is second to none and I strongly recommend anyone that’s thinking seriously about getting into AIS to join them if they have any slots available. You might be asking why I have reached stalemate if the above is such a great deal and a great resource.

Well, to be honest there are a few reasons which I’ll outline below:

* Despite the automation of it all, there’s still one hell of a lot of work involved in building AIS sites, and you have to make an awful lot of them in order to bring in the money.

* In my ignorance, I wasn’t aware that I’d be concentrating more on making money than I was the actual quality of the sites. (I wanted to own and take care of a bunch of smart but simple websites that had a bit of ‘Aitch’ stamped into them).

* AIS sites do get delisted and banned by the search engines so you have to continuously build and promote other sites to take their place. Some sites are around for a while whereas others are gone in just a few months. I couldn’t buy into the idea of building something up while at the same time some of it was getting knocked down.

There are folks out there making money, making good money, some making silly money, just by getting a system together and following it through. The KA forums are the place to be if you’re keen to learn the ropes, and with a little dedication I would say there’s a pretty good chance anyone could generate some cash doing this, but just how much is dependent on the individual’s commitment.

I haven’t given up!

I was introduced to a different system that I’ve touched on it a bit in the forums here. That is to build up a smart little money generating empire of sites which display page after page of unique content. There is to be no fear of these sites getting banned. Web pages that will hopefully be around for years to come as they continue to make money.

This really appeals to me as I never wanted to be rushing around putting quantity over quality with little or no regard to the visitors or the search engines.

I like the idea of having a realm of sites that I can revisit, update, tweak, and monitor for the long term. These simple sites will have great written content for the visitors and will be optimized for the search engines.

So, getting back to basics, forget all the whistles and bells, SW products, automated scripts etc. The best tool in the net entrepreneur’s toolkit is the same today as it’s always been. CONTENT. Content is still king! Especially if that content is well written and optimized for the search engines. There’s no question of doubt that publishing real content is the most stable way to make money on the net period!

When I was introduced to Articles Underground, I just knew that it was exactly what I'd been looking for. These guys supply over 400 unique articles each month to a limited membership. All articles are search engine optimized for keywords that really have potential! There is no extra work required to fix them up.

I won’t write too much about them here as I’ll never get away from the notebook, but I’ve got to tell you this feels like the most exciting venture I’ve ever undertaken regarding making good clean money on the internet. The material is second to none, the support just fantastic, and the forum is full of both knowledgeable and experienced Netreprenuers plus a whole bunch of newcomers to the scene too. It's diverse, it’s dynamic, and it’s most certainly exciting!

At $97 a month, I thought the membership was a little pricey to begin with, but the bottom line is that if anyone is serious about making money, then they have to spend a bit first. It’s a simple rule but not always easy to implement. This is especially the case on the web with all the scams and scammers that are around waiting to pounce on the vulnerable.

When I looked at the fee as something that was going to pay me back and not hold me back, I realised that if I wanted to join this exclusive club then I’d have to stop sitting on the fence and just take the plunge. I’m so glad I did, as the Phase 1 membership has completely sold out in just over a month.

The founder, Mike Liebner, is preparing to launch a 2nd round of 350 memberships with brand new articles! I’ve jumped on the affiliate bandwagon on this one, because apart from my hotels on Mr. Roomfinder my (first ever website), I’ve never tried to generate any cash via affiliate income before.
