Hi Tylor.
Some webmasters have a few backup AdSense accounts just in case, but most tend to hold onto their own account as all their money needs to go into their name and their banks otherwise it gets a little messy! A backup account would have to be different details, i.e. name, bank, etc. If Google or the other SE’s think your site(s) offer little or nothing to their visitors they will de-list the site so as not to occupy their prime slots, as it’s bad for business. AdWords customers want good quality sites with targeted traffic to host their ads. If the visitor gets directed to trashy sites who’s main objective is to get them clicking on their AdSense Ads, (as many of these sites have very little useful content) then such sites are considered to be spammy in nature as the visitor is not finding what he wanted, and is in effect getting the run-around as the headline in Google’s search results page proves misleading. Such sites do not follow Google’s Guidelines for webmasters. The whole game with the Search Engines is to provide the results the searcher is looking for as quickly as possible, and that means weeding out ‘inappropriate sites’ with misleading content. By that I mean those webmasters that present different content to search engines than they actually display to users on the sites. It’s what they commonly refer to as black hat tactics. Now although these sites may not be considered adequate or worthy for a Google listing due to their misleading behaviour, it doesn’t necessarily mean the webmaster will loose his AdSense account. To loose your AdSense account you have to break Google's Terms of Service (TOS) and most AISer’s are pretty clear what lines not to cross. To summarise then Tylor, it’s my belief that if you do things outside Google’s guidelines, they’ll delist your site and strip any PR you might have, and that is what they call a spam penalty. To lose your AdSense account you have to break the TOS to which you agree to when signing up for an account. At least that’s how I believe it works. Anyone else? Aitch

i was just sitting and thinking it all those mass ais sites get banned again and again and the webmasters can create new sites quicker than they get banned so they manage to beat google in their game and make a fortune google gets money as well of course from those clicks but their reliablity decreases what if google gets realy pissed in some point and changes its policy to terminate adsense accounts of misbehaving webmasters it will through them out of business overnight by the way, I just review the terms and conditions in google adsense i dont know how many webmaster really read the whole thing a short quote Quote:

The real risk is that Google's AdWords customers don't get any value from the AdSense clicks. That's the balance Google has to strike.
I can speak from experience that AdWords for content (AdSense) has not performed nearly as well as AdWords for search has for me. Ultimately Google needs to look after - 1. It's search engine - they have to stay on top of their core competency 2. Deliver results to AdWords users 3. Attract more AdSense publishers which increases their advertising inventory. ...and of course do all the thousands of other things they do, but those three make up their main revenue stream for the time being. It's a fine balance to strike.
