Godaddy not letting me update from 2.1

Hi,

Im trying to autoupdate my blog (ww.retire-thisyear.com) but its not letting me upgrade within godaddy, I keeep having to roll back.

I have hundreds of posts in blog and dont want to loose them, but I need to upgrade.

Is there a step by step way to download the file with all the posts, remove the blog software, reinstall with 2.5 and then inserts the posts back into the new blog?

A step by step would be real handy!

Install this plugin: Il Filosofo » WordPress Database Backup

Get a good backup.

Sign up for a new host.

Set up a database and restore the backup file you got from the backup you did on godaddy.

Upload the wordpress 2.5 files and copy the wp-config.php file from godaddy to the new host.

Run the /wp-admin/upgrade.php script.

I actually use blogger with godaddy and I find that it works a little easier. Not that it helps your situation.

You could also try calling godaddy, although their customer service is pretty useless imho.
