I am getting my butt kicked by this problem. It may just be some mental vapor lock.
How do you get subscriptions (recurring payments) via PayPal to work with AWeber? Note, I am not talking about the normal "Buy Now", one time purchase situation. I would prefer to hear from those who have actually setup this type of scenario. Thanks in advance, digital-Joe |

I'm not sure what you are asking?
Do you want to set up an autoresponder based on a paypal subscription that will automatically cancel if they stop paying? Or are you trying to use paypal to pay aweber for their autoresponder? Aweber is just an email service. Other than setting up an automatic email to somebody who has bought something, I'm not sure exactly what you might be trying to do, but in that case it wouldn't matter if it was a one time payment or a buy now payment.

@Blaine
Thank you. Your points are well taken. I just want my message sent to the subscriber after they have successfully subscribed (recurring payments) via PayPal. In a normal "Buy Now" event PayPal e-mails yourlist@AWeber.com about the transaction. AWeber's e-mail parser checks the PayPal e-mail for a couple of things. If all is well, your predetermined message is e-mailed back to the buyer. For subscriptions, PayPal's e-mail to yourlist@AWeber.com contains different information. (mmm . . . Maybe just additional information.) I may be making this harder than it is. I would think that there are plenty of Websites that have subscriptions via PayPal tied to their AWeber auto responder. Any help is appreciated. digital-Joe |

Okay, I understand what you are trying to do now.
Basically, you just need to define a new automation series in aweber for a paypal subscription. I haven't dealt with them at all, so I don't know what is or isn't on the email, but you can create custom ones if you want to add somebody to your autoresponder. Once you are logged in, go to the list settings tab and choose Email Parser. The default parser for Paypal (Payment Processor: Paypal Orders) looks for "PayPal Email ID" as the trigger text (which means that it will run this parser if it finds that text in the body of the email and will then pull out the buyer's name and email address. If you open a separate window, you can use that for reference and find something that is unique to a subscription payment to create an email parser for paypal recurring orders. Since I don't know what that email looks like, I can't help you there. If you want to cut and paste a pair of the emails (normal order and a recurring order) in here (with any sensitive info "X"ed out of course) then I can help you out with the set up.
