Hi Everyone,

We've been running a catalogue style website for several years now, does anyone else on this forum run this sort of business online?

Love to catch up and share stories, ideas, network etc.

Our site is: http://www.coolthings.com.au

Hi Pete,

I run 2 e-commerce sites in the UK , Totalsunglasses.com & Totaloptics.co.uk which I have been doing for just over 3 years now. I also have just set up a blog called MyBusinessWeek.com.

I would be more than happy to chat/network with you.

Perhaps you could drop me an email.

Dear Pete,

I like your business. I know a company here that runs something similar www.anythingonline.com.au. I am curious as to how you make those catalogue style businesses work given that you have so many suppliers and holding that much stock would be periliously dangerous. Do you drop ship or how do you manage?

We sometimes drop ship, but find its easier and better for our customers if we hold stock.

I've always wanted to get into dropshipping, but it seems a bit of a mystery. There's horror stories of dropshippers not being able to handle orders, delivering faulty/second hand goods, poor communication and so on.

It's funny, because for almost all other areas of IM there are big, well recognised players - PayPal, eBay, Amazon etc. But no big, reputable drop shippers.

Does anyone have any good resources for finding reliable dropshippers?
