Question What first? Blog or create a membership site?

Hi fellow board members,

In your experience is it better to work on a blog and use the blog to work out whether your niche has membership site potential ...

OR

Start working within your niche to build a membership site which has a blog integrated into your plan?

I've started to research both but am getting increasingly confused.
Would love some feedback from people who have experienced both scenarios.

Thanks in advance!
Julie

It doesn't really matter, you can be successful either way as long as you have a viable strategy. I think that Yaro's strategies run well one to another with the way that he has done things (Blog First, then Membership Site) which is probably why he offers his courses in that order.

Default Thanks for the feedback

Thanks for the feedback.

I think you're mirroring my current thinking that it's best to explore the topic's potential first before investing resources in building a membership site.

I think it's better to create a blog first and then create the membership site after you've gotten the "Expert" status. Think about it: would Yaro's Blog Mastermind would have been so successful if he didn't have entrepreneurs-journey.com? I don't think so.

So first start a blog then when you you acquire the "Expert" status in that niche and if you think that there's potential for a membership site in that niche then only start a membership site.

Default do both

Start your blog first and send people there to gain credibility and make a name for yourself, do this while working on your membership site.

Keep your readers informed of your membership site and encourage them to sign up through your blog.

If they like you as a person they wil be glad to join your membership site and do anything they can to help contribute.

People love to see their ideas used.

everyone loves to add to somthing.

you are golden because you are helping them contribute to somthing, you never know you might meet a new business partner with alot of fresh ideas, to make you site truly unique.
