My Mobile Life

Hi guys,

I'm in the process of launching a new blog called My Mobile Life. I've registered www.mymobilelife.net.au and www.mobilelife.net.au. I'm still narrowing down my focus a little bit with it but what's inspired me recently to launch this is a process I'm going through in designing my life to support me in travelling when I want and being mobile when I work. Ala Timothy Ferris style (of Four Hour Work Week fame).

I guess many of us desire mobility and the freedom in terms of time and money to travel so I think this is an area of interest for a lot of people.

In terms of the practical how to aspects of that, I've been spending a bit of time lately getting set up physically to do this. I.e. purchasing a mobile broadband modem, iPhone, etc... What I'm finding is that there's quite a few hoops to jump through in getting all this working (i.e. how do I sync my iPhone to my PC and to my Mac, etc...). So after listening last night to the first quarter of Blog Profits Blueprint and hearing Yaro talk about focusing on a niche, I'm thinking that I should zero in on this particularly area. I.e. the semi-technical area of connectivity and topics around the iPhone/Mac and what software works/doesn't, etc... I think I will try to keep the lifestyle design theme running in the background (or that may just become part of the story as I travel and work from different parts of Australia initially and later the world).

Just to clarify, the business that I'm running is web design business that I started at uni several years ago and which has started to really take off in the last few months but ultimately I'm interested in moving away from a service based business that requires me to manage people (designers/developer resources, etc...) and focusing more on developing something along the lines of an information product.

At this stage though, I'm interested in any thoughts you all have on my niche choice and whether it's something that would interest any of you.
