Okay folks, getting down to business. With the latest PR update, I'm sure some of you have some nice new page ranks, I know I do. I think our little "Yaro community" here (as I'm going to refer to it as..) should get some link exchanges down.
Now lets stick to the rules, and only exchange RELEVANT links. Here I go, Webmaster / SEO / Business Talk PR 6: 1 site PR 5: 2 sites PR0: 1 site (but growing oh so fast!) Tech tips / Software / Coding / SEO / Linux / Windows PR 5: 1 site My Space related PR 4: 2 sites Celebrity sites PR 0: 1 site (growing fast!!) Also, on a special request if anybody wants a link exchange with the Kaspersky Australia site (huge name - http://www.kaspersky.com.au) let me know. Send all requests via PM.

Hey James - I don't really think link exchanges are that useful anymore, you should instead aim for content exchanges between complimentary sites. I've recommend this for a while now and I'm pretty sure it formed the basis of a lot of what Brad and Andy teach as well.
It takes a bit more work but the benefit is a lot greater.

Yaro, it all comes down to back links in the end doesn't it? Look at B5Media and their blog's sidebar. Most new blogs go straight to PR5 or higher, due to that sidebar being on hundreds of sites, all linking to them. There's no content exchanges, just pure good ole back links. You can't say they aren't useful anymore ![]()

What's a "content exchange"? You mean he publishes my RSS feeds and I publish his?

Backlinks of course are not completely useless - and if you could suddenly get 150+ high quality links like you do when joining b5 then sure, it would be great but it would be near impossible to achieve that doing it manually. That's one of the best things about a blog network and one of the main reasons why I joined 9rules.
A content exchange is when you trade articles, preferably completely original articles not published elsewhere. In blog traffic school I recommend bloggers write an article for each other's blogs being certain to link to them in the article. This provides fresh content for each blogger and gets a valuable incoming link which is within content rather than on a links page or blogroll.

We all know the best way to get links ... and that is to write a pillar post and get 30+ trackbacks
