yes. among other ideas already posted, you need to buy some backlinks, I would go to getafreelancer.com and find a reputable guy. You can get a bunch of high PR links for a cheap price.

go to google and type in comment luv blogs, then search for a blog thats relevant to your site and post a comment, use anchor text were you would normally put your name, thats how comment luv works.

I get plenty of PR3-PR6 links this way. But it does take time...

Here's what I've done - and I just did a client's site:

1) Get quality backlinks from high PR social BM sites
2) Get links from relevant sites
3) Didn't mess w/ directories
4) Wrote a couple articles and stuck them on EZineArticles.com and GoArticles.com

Do this - and you'll have good success.

However for the list above, the most fast way to get indexed by SE is forum and blog commenting. Directory is the most difficult and long indexed.

I have to agree with Cantik that these are indeed good ways to gain quality links especially in forum and blog commenting although try your best to make it not look like you are only promoting yourself while commenting.
