Default Business advice?

Hello:

I am a 34 year old male who is considering returning to school for an MBA.
I currently have over 10 years of experience in the field of education. I was wondering if my age, which is 5-10 years older than the typical MBA student and my lack of business experience will diminish my changes of lucrative employment opportunities even with an MBA degree? I would appreciate advice from anyone who can help. Thank You!

It depends upon your market, but I wouldn't think so. You are still pretty young. You just need to come up with a USP for your resume to sell your educational experience and how it will help the company that you apply to.

That's not a factor ..See a requirement to attend business school is to have working experience preferably 3-5 years. So, the average age of graduating is 22+5 years of work=27. Of course, there are those who work longer or those who never considered going to business school until their late 20's or even early 30's, which is why the average age is 30. I don't think you'll have a good chance to go straight for your MBA right after your bachelors because you'll need real work experience.

Default A Friend Got MBA At Night.....

and today has a very nice job in mergers and aquisitions for a prominent investment bank. I'm pretty certain he got it in his early 30's and he did it while working in his field.
