How do you Promote Your Site??

I have found endless possibilities to promoting my sites. I have found very few that actually produce. Do you have any suggestions?

For me it has been a slow process of commenting on others' blogs, writing posts which link to other blogs and occasionally adding a blog to my blogroll.

Effective? My technorati rating at Jan 31 was 305717, at May 30 it was 127627. Today it jumped to 91705 which I expect is just a glitch and it will fall back again. Not spectacular I suppose. I'm not sure what is good really - there are almost no reliable stats on an 'average blog'. Most of those who talk about this stuff are in the blogging about blogging or internet marketing fields. What is good for other topics I have no idea. My niche is health (physical, emotional, mental, spiritual and social).

Also I have really bothered about money so far, so I haven't made any. So I can't offer any insights about this. The people who talk about this are once again usually from those two topic areas.

Do you mean the websites in your Sig? or these are affiliates?
If yes, let em know and will make a study of your websites and give you the weakness, and how to improve them. I only need to know how do you promote them? and what ways do you follow? and all what you do promoting them.

there are many ways on promoting a site, and here are some of them:

signing up on social networking and business networking sites
posting sites on social bookmarking and business bookmarking sites
add your sites to online directories
be interactive on forums (like these!)

you can find other means of promoting your sites online by searching them... the ones that I share are the ones I usually do in promoting my site...well hope I could manage to help you!

in the rules of the forums, it says you can put links to your website in/as your signature..
i've done it... i'm not sure how well it'll work, i'm new.
but hey, it's worth a shot..

I think rule #1 is have interesting content, and then #2 is SEO/back links.

I could be wrong, but all three of the sites in your sig look like generic affiliate pages. Is there any possible way to tweak them so they look a bit less generic?

I didn't spend a long time - I may be (may be? ) an odd duck, but as soon as someone's audio assaults me when I hit their site and there isn't a big and obvious OFF button I can click, I tend to close the window real fast.

How about some kind of intro or landing page in 'normal person' language before the affiliate pages, if you can't change the aff pages themselves? Or a blog. Blogs are good. They even work for weirdos like me - and are kind of the subject at the forum you're currently reading

Just a thought. Maybe this stuff sells well. If it is affiliate and it's got to be presented exactly the way it is, I think I'd try to build a presence on business forums where people are interested in this kind of affiliate programme, do the signature links, and go the PPC route (didisaythat?)
