Well there are many good options like advertising network, Affiliate Programs,selling advertising for your site directly..but not sure where you are in now..but the fact remain building trust with clients or sponsors/advertisers is the key. Hereby using a good communication medium ( opt for live solutions..if you can afford ) for mutual interaction accelerate success rate.

I, too, am trying to get something going on the internet. Most days I like my job, but it's such long hours and 7 days a week. I am totally tied down. I have just found a really good mentor and am taking training. I know it will take some time, but hopefully I will be rewarded. I was born and raised a farm girl and although being away from it for a long time, I still can't get that out of my blood. If I can get this going I can go back to that at least part time. I'll try to keep you posted every once in a while how it's going and what I've learned. I know there is some great advice in this forum already.

Here's another resource for good information in getting started with your online business. The blog is terrydean.org and he shares information with quality content. He has been there, succeeded, and willing shares some of the ways he did it.

I agree with some of the others--don't quit your day job yet. You may have to work in the evening online to get everything set up, attract visitors, and start selling, but if you persevere there will come a day when you will quit the day job.

I am just starting out myself and trying to find a way to create some kind of income from the internet. Really happy to find this site because there is so much info. here. I agree with everyone else, I would start slowly and work your way to a consistently paying site before you quit your day job. The idea of a cooking related website appeals to me. Good luck with whatever you decide to do!
