Default Membership site

I am in healthcare business and I have put in place a set of e-learning modules for fortnightly releases for my paid members. I have a strong domain expertise in my area of work. But my expertise in terms of putting up a website, creating mp3 podcasts, videos and integrating it into the paid offerings is a problem.

In my earlier assignment, I tried setting up a portal and my dependence on programmer was 100 percent and that is not a good situation to be in. It ultimately got messed up and we had to partways.

Creating password protected e-book in pdf, mp3 podcasts, videos requires little amount of knowledge of graphics, pagemaking skills etc. I grossly lack that. My expertise is in making people to listen to what I say and can have a captive audience for that. My rich industry insight backed with solid 18year experience will be the backbone of this membership site.

I have a few questions to you----

Is it essential to have a technical team of my own for regular updates ?
If so, what kind of skill set does these people need to possess ?
To start with, to what extent, I can run this as a single man show?

Thumbs up E-Commerce Help is Here!

Oh I can see what you want to point out. Well creating a membership site requires 3 Steps to successfully put it up. I have placed a link to where you can learn that.

Goodluck!

Default Membership site set up

Hi Katherivel,

My name is Anthony. How did you go setting up your memberships site? Is it up? What software did you use, host etc.
I 'm in a very similar situation right now. I'm actually not to far from you in terms of professions- I'm a personal trainer who is putting together a golf fitness/Health/fat loss site, It will include programs created in a PT site that are viewable and down loadable, heaps of content that I have written, podcasts, coaching etc.
It is time now to get the site up and f I'm tossing up what systems to use eg Membershipspeed, Good Barry. Infusion (bit pricey to start with) and or maybe a word press blog for the Internal Blog that I will be communicating with members through (I like the look and feel or Yaros, John Chows blogs- although mine will not be public like theirs).

I will have 1. Email capture page then2. enter the site a long page copy page then 3. The membership area.

Any words of wisdom from Katherivel or anyone out there?
